Comeback Imminent for Life Member 'Slang'?

In 1993, Dennis Najim, known around the club as ‘Slang,’ became a life member of the MOCCC. Recently, wearing his MOCCC top with pride, Slang completed the Lilydale Station to Warburton Rail Trail.

Carrying a fairly heavy pack on his back and with extra supplies in a shopping bag in his hand, Slang took to the journey equipped with his trusty phone to record his the 48.1 km trek, which he completed in 7.5 hours.

In previous years MOCCC players have commenced pre-season training with the Kokoda Track Memorial Walk (1000 steps). We aren’t sure how many of the current players would be able to make the length of the epic journey like Slang undertook.

From the MOCCC family, we congratulate Slang on this huge effort and thank you for letting us share your story. So, is it too late for a comeback? He might just put the boys to shame!
