Off season inspiration from MOCCC Life Member Dennis Najim

MOCCC Life Member Dennis Najim, known around the club as ‘Slang,’ has powered on, this time walking 56.4 km’s, from Station Pier Port Melbourne to Frankston on Friday 21st May. Contrary to the Melbourne Marathon that takes the shorter route of Nepean Hwy & St. Kilda Rd, he thought the longer scenic route of going around all bayside suburbs walking along Beaconsfield Pde. Marine Pde, Esplanade, Beach Rd. & eventually onto Nepean Hwy at Mordialloc Creek was a much better option given the great weather.

Slang enjoyed taking in suburbs like St.Kilda, Elwood, Brighton, Sandringham, Beaumaris, Mentone, Mordialloc, Edithvale, Carrum, Seaford & eventually Frankston. He took in the the beach view & while enviously admiring the magnificent homes with their bay views.

After completing the 56.4 k walk Slang was welcomed by his brother and sister in law at the Grand Hotel in Frankston. A schooner of Carlton Draught slid down nicely, completing what was a very pleasant day!
